Dance Team Nationals
JUST THE BEGINNING: The JV team joins in a group hug with their coach, Melissa Martinez, after placing 5th in the nation for their jazz routine. Martinez was extremely proud of these girls and how far the team has come in just a few short years, and sees this as the beginning of history for the Lourdes Dancers. “I saw so much potential in this team when I first became their coach two years ago, and I’m so emotional about how they’ve been able to make it to UDA and even place,” Martinez said.
READY FOR NATIONALS: The Lourdes Dancers walk into the ESPN Wide World of Sports for the UDA National Dance Team Championship, on February 3rd. This was their first year at this prestigious competition, and they were determined to make their mark in the dance world. “We have put in so much work at practice this year, and I really believe that we are ready,” senior Noelle Roza said.
