The school celebrated its annual Grandparent’s Mass on Sunday, March 10 in the gym. Father Andrew celebrated the beautiful mass that was meant to recognize the strong bond between grandparents and their granddaughters.
“I love this mass because my grandparents are so special to me,” senior Samantha Garciga said. “They have played such an important role in my upbringing, and this was the perfect opportunity to spend a day with them.”
The mass was spoken in a mix of Spanish and English, as a way to include all grandparents and truly show appreciation for all they do.
“I have come to this mass every year that my granddaughter has been at Lourdes,” said Ana Picasso, grandmother of senior Luciana Picasso. “I absolutely love sharing these memories with Luciana and I will cherish them forever.”
The mass was followed by a reception in the Grotto with pastries and refreshments. This was a great opportunity for the grandparents to see where their granddaughters go to school and meet each other.
Overall, the mass served as a way to celebrate the grandparents and the dedication and love they have for their granddaughters.
