Literati 2026 is the 37th volume of the school literary and arts magazine, the Literati, has been published.
The magazine showcases the finest art and literary works created by students throughout the year. Editors-in-Chief Alani Avila ’26 and Emma Hernandez Moran ’26 spearheaded this year’s edition, with Alani overseeing editorial organization and writing fluency and Emma authoring the editorial content that introduced and defined the theme. They were supported by the Grotto News staff and submissions from the English and Fine Arts departments.
The theme, Ad Astra Per Aspera, was chosen to capture the idea that while we are all reaching for the stars, that journey is never without its difficulties and detours.
Literati is an award-winning publication. The 2025 issue was honored with a Gold Crown from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association, a Pacemaker from the National Scholastic Press Association, a REALM First Class distinction from the National Council of Teachers of English, and an All-Florida ranking from the Florida Scholastic Press Association.
