DISTRICT CHAMPS: After defeating Varela 9-0, these soccer superstars rejoiced and celebrated their win as a team. On January 31st at the Tropical Park stadium, these girls brought home another trophy to add to the Lourdes soccer collection and made both their coaches and families incredibly proud. “One of my favorite parts about coaching is seeing the smiles on these girls faces when they achieve their goals and accomplish things as a team,” head coach, David Fique said.

BRING ON THE ICE BUCKET: Following her first goal on varsity, sophomore Katie Tamargo’s teammates chose her to be water buckets next victim. Post game, on the sidelines while Tamargo was taking a sophomore picture, junior Mia Roca and senior Alex Diaz crept up behind her and poured the ice cold water over her head. “I did not expect them to pour that bucket over my head but when they did I ran as fast as I could. The water was absolutely freezing and it didn’t help that it was 65° but it was a funny moment and I loved it,” Tamargo said.
